It was probably the year 2012, and Christmas was approaching.
I’ve always enjpyed creating things with my hands. That year, I came up with the idea of making a board game for families with children. A very good family friend added quirky elements to the game, like "go make a sandwich." The board game was homemade: cut, glued, copied, and finally hand-painted. Along with the game, I added my favorite box of candies, "Nööbid" (buttons), and the game was named "The Candy Game."
That winter-spring, "The Candy Game" became my children’s (ages 5 and 8) favorite game. I’m sure the small candy buttons played a significant role, but the hugging and sandwich-making were also lots of fun.
In 2023, I had the idea to share the joy of spending time with children with many other families. The activities were rephrased more positively, and I added many more snack rounds.
In 2024, I created an English version of the game, which includes even more recognition and praise, something we all need daily.
